The Monarch Crest Crank is the historic fundraiser for the Chaffee County Alliance Against Domestic Abuse (AADA) and 2016 will be the best year yet. The Crest Crank will be the final day of Salida Bike Fest week which includes days of fun for cyclists of all abilities and their families. This is the Crest Crank’s 18th year and AADA will continue to offer mountain bikers the chance to ride the famed Monarch Crest Trail, as it has since 1998.
Entry remains $75, plus pledges, for the Monarch Crest Trail ride. On top of this bargain price, we highly encourage you to raise at least the same amount in personal pledges and sponsorships, and great prizes for riders raising pledges above certain levels. We also have a sweet Silent Auction after the ride at the Riverside Park.
Your entry fee for the adult rides includes the ride, guide, shuttle and of course, our legendary party in Riverside Park after the ride. The top fundraiser bringing in more than $500 of pledges wins a stylish new cruiser bike.
We are anticipating close to 100 riders this year, and as we continue our collaboration with Salida Bike Fest, we are expecting a few hundred attendees at the super fun after-party at Riverside Park. The after-party will feature live music from local bands, libations, food, fun and funky bike art by local artists, and a competitive silent auction.
